June 22nd 2017 - Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits (Cigna) is delighted to announce their sponsorship of The Leaderboard Triathlon Challenge for the second consecutive year in support of Comic Relief.
The corporate event takes place on Sunday 2nd July at Dorney Lake – the iconic Olympic venue in Berkshire. The triathlon event includes a 200m swim, 5.3km bike ride and a 1.5km run over a relay of six legs.
Cigna’s employees will be taking part in the triathlon, including Director of Sales and Client Management, Will Shaw. A team of Cigna’s brokers will join us and have access to our new Cigna Virtual Health® app to help them train for the event. The app features a Virtual Health team, providing a personalised experience and tools and coaching to proactively manage people’s health and well-being on the go. Brokers will be able to sync their fitness tracker to the app and complete a virtual marathon.
Cigna’s Managing Director, Phil Austin commented; “We’re thrilled to be the headline sponsor once again. As a business, our main focus is to help people get healthy and stay healthy. And what better way to encourage a healthy lifestyle, than to show how easy it is to use our app to improve your fitness and have fun along the way.”
Phil Smith, Cisco’s Chairman adds; “It’s fantastic that Cigna are on board once again as the main sponsor demonstrating their continued commitment to health and wellbeing. With a focus on health, well-being and fundraising, the aim is to make this the most connected triathlon ever, from training beforehand to tracking participants around the course on the day and encouraging some healthy competition along the way.”
