Attitudes Findings

Research we carried out shows us that getting a GP appointment is harder than ever before. In fact, 16% of people in the UK are having to wait more than 11 days to see a GP which poses the question – are non-urgent conditions then going to develop into more acute problems and subsequently cause issues for employees in the workplace?

Employees can escape the wait through the click of the button, with GP video consultations now readily available on smartphones. This not only provides quick and easy access to expert advice, but also reduces pressure on the NHS - a win-win situation for everyone.

Digital innovation continues to shape consumer attitudes towards health and wellbeing, with over half (52%) of Brits admitting that they would be happy to use their smartphone for a GP video consultation about minor illnesses and 17% saying they would use this approach for all their appointments.

Many health issues are both predictable and preventable, and our telehealth services offer an integrated and innovative approach to healthcare that gives users greater control of their health and wellbeing.

Positive health and wellbeing has never been more important, and we remain fully committed to supporting employee journey to improve health and wellbeing within the workplace by providing fast access to care and early intervention.
