March 2014
Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits (UKHB) is introducing enhancements to its OralHealth dental plans.
Cigna has listened to customer feedback and is pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, two new plan levels and enhanced benefits will be added to the OralHealth range. These enhancements reflect Cigna's ongoing commitment to providing relevant benefits and choice of options on its dental plans.
About the enhancements to OralHealth
A new Level 1 NHS plan is being introduced to provide a low cost option for members who use an NHS dentist. NHS dental charges are due to be reviewed in 2014, and it's expected that increases will be more significant than in previous years. The new Level 1 plan helps to cater for these. A new Level 4 plan is also being added. Increased flexibility is being introduced on preventative cover with a new choice of 100% or 75% reimbursement on Levels 2 to 5. Increased choice is likely to continue to be a priority issue for customers in the future, so Cigna now offers a wider range of options on their OralHealth plans to suit different needs.
Cigna is also introducing orthodontic cover for dependants under 18 years old, and the oral cancer benefit is being uplifted to £15,000.
Finally, the target audience for flexible benefit schemes health plans is now reducing from 400 to 100 employees. Demand for dental benefits in this sector has grown in recent years and further growth is expected.
Kirsty Jagielko, Cigna UKHB's Head of Product Management explains, "At Cigna UK, we're dedicated to putting the customer first. And our feedback indicates that choice and flexibility are high priorities for both clients and members. Our enhancements are designed to cater for these needs and bring relevant choices to our OralHealth range both now and in the future".
