How we can help

If your condition progresses to the point where the plan no longer provides cover our nurses are still here to support you. If you are receiving ongoing treatment, the Cigna Nurse will work with you and your specialist, discussing the options available, including self-funding further private treatment, or transferring your care into the NHS. No matter what happens, we make every effort for your treatment to continue uninterrupted, and any transition to be as smooth as possible. In many cases, the treating specialists work both privately and under the NHS, so there is no need for change.

Even if treatment has finished, our nurses are here to support you with any questions you may have about the condition or how to go about accessing additional support. 

Call your helpline and ask to speak to one of our nurses during our normal operating hours or leave your name and number to request a call back at a time that suits you. Your Cigna nurse helpline is available Monday to Friday, 8am – 8pm, Saturday 9am to 12pm.
